A lil' about me...
My name is Kikine and I'm a French Canadian living in England. Whistler's where I call home and that's where I met my English husband Dan. Gave up the white mountains for the green downs of England...the things you'll do for love eh?! I've enjoyed every moment and with the Alps so close who can complain.
I've been knitting for about 4 years, making lots of scarves at first, until one of our visits to Quebec where my grandma taught me how to knit a pair of socks. She's actually won sock knittin' awards! My hero. I do knit a pretty good pair of 'curl up & watch a movie' socks thanks to her patience.
And thus began my love affair with wool. I am well and truly addicted.
I learned to crochet while doing a season in El Colorado, Chile 3 summers ago and I've been hooked ever since. I spent all of my spare time making beanies when we came back, it was just one after the next! Pick up a hook and learn to crochet...you'll know what I mean! I've been working at shop for 6 years and my boss was/is kind enough to let me sell my beanies there. They sold really well that first season so with the pennies I made I was able to order more wool and also create a tag to sew onto each hat. I still order all my yarn from the same man I used to buy from in Chile, it's super soft and he's got loads of colours for me to choose from!
I've also been selling my beanies on Ebay for the last 2 winter seasons. The feedback I got from my buyers was really great, so if you have any doubts about buying one, go have a read! Between my love for crocheting and all the positive feedback I've received, I'm really excited to now have a website to spread the goodness worldwide! I absolutely love creating people's ideas, so please email me with yours. I still find it amazing what beautiful things can come from a hook and ball of wool.
Thanks for visiting my website and taking the time to read my story, hope to hear from you soon!
